1. 1) We are intimately aware of our songs--lyrics and melodies.  We know that the right song can literally make a movie, define a project, or take a performance artist to the next level in their career.  We pride ourselves on being able to match just the right song to just the right project or we are glad to refer you to another company.  No kidding. 
   

2. 2) What makes Georgia and Southern Regional songwriters unique?  Can you say REM...B52s...Sugarland....or think farther back....The Atlanta Rhythm Section...Otis Redding...Joe South...Billy Joe Royal. Georgia has birthed some of the most innovative and interesting songs that have ever been written and it remains the home to some of the greatest songwriters in the history of music.
   

3. 3) We are song catchers. We pride ourselves on finding the songs that are written from the heart.  Songs that endure the test of time.  We sign writers that must write.  It is who they are. Our songwriters pull to the side of the road and write on scraps of paper.  They leave restaurants and scribble the song on napkins in parking lots.  They drop by the office, excited about playing their latest song. Sometimes we have to “catch the songs” as they’re being birthed  (One of our publishing executives recently recorded a new song by asking the artist to grab her guitar, sit in the car and sing it, before it “got away.”  That original recording is available on this website. 4. 4) GOC & Lowery Music are affiliated with award winning, multi-platinum artists and producers.  It’s difficult to put a price on the value of the experience and success associated with longevity. With over fifty years of experience, our company is still influenced by the heart of Bill Lowery and what he stood for:  bottom-line integrity, great songs with great hooks and melodies, and a sense of family.  Bill Lowery was the first inductee into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, along with Ray Charles and remains a highly-respected legend.  Butch Lowery continues to carry on the traditions established by his father and is partnering with GOC in finding the new songwriters to continue the tradition.
